How much would you charge for a short consulting work? I am interested to learn how you did Gambit: scm -> c and built static library and called the functions from Obj-c. (Seems like *.h files are missing in the steps???)

You could always go the freelancer route. Having made the leap from employee to one man coding show, I can say it's been by far the best career decision I've ever made. It's incredibly fun.

It's also incredibly stressful, as you instantly become not only coder but accountant, marketing guru and salesman, along with a dozen other hats. But, it's totally worth it.

Personally, I like the advice in <a href='http://benjisimon.blogspot.com/2008/09/review-toilet-paper-entrepreneur.html' rel="nofollow">this book</a>, to get started.

Whatever you do, good luck, and enjoy the ride!
